Acadia National Park – Embroidered Patch
What You'll Need
- Household iron (no steam)
- Thin cotton cloth or parchment paper
- Ironing board or hard, heat-resistant surface
Instructions
- Preheat your iron to the Cotton setting (high heat) and turn off the steam.
- Place the patch on the desired location with the adhesive side facing down.
- Cover the patch with a thin cotton cloth or parchment paper to protect the embroidery.
- Press firmly with the iron for 20–30 seconds without moving it around.
- Turn the garment inside out and iron the back of the patch for another 20–30 seconds.
- Allow the patch to cool completely before checking the edges. If needed, repeat the process.
- Wait 24 hours before washing.
- Wash inside out on a gentle cycle.
- Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
- For items that receive heavy wear (backpacks, hats, jackets, etc.), we recommend sewing around the edges for extra durability.
